Raw Citrine is a handcrafted sterling silver ring set with natural citrine. The focus is not a conventional cut, but the stone’s natural surface and irregular character.
The form is built from two flaring sections joined together. This gives the upper part a strong volume while keeping the ring comfortable on the hand.
The silver is worked with a diamond tool, producing a matte, subtly shimmering texture that complements the citrine’s natural irregularity.
The stone reads like a found fragment: the silver neither conceals nor corrects it, but holds it within its own structure.
Creating a related piece
The original has been sold, but its character can be recreated quite closely. Unlike many prototypes, this form translates well into a new commission.
The size, proportions, stone and degree of finishing can be changed. The citrine may be replaced with another stone, made more elongated, or exchanged for an insert with a smooth polished surface.
