Description
Picture Ring 1 is conceived as a small rectangular plane worn on the finger. A polished rutile quartz insert projects from the main form and acts as an independent accent.
The composition is built on the balance between two surfaces. One section is covered with lines; the other is formed from multiple openings. Together they read as elements within a small metal picture.
Rutile quartz adds depth and internal movement. The stone does not simply sit on top; it changes the perception of the entire rectangular form.
The ring sits between jewellery and object: it is made for the hand, yet constructed according to the logic of a small spatial composition.
Creating a related piece
This ring is a prototype. A related piece can preserve its overall character, rectangular composition and balance between contrasting surfaces.
An exact copy is not possible because each piece is made by hand. The size, proportions, stone, shank form and balance of textures can be changed.
