Colored Square
An archival silver ring with turquoise, amber and vitreous enamel. Colored inlays form a square composition on a fused silver surface.
Description
“Colored Square” is an archival NP Studio piece in sterling silver. Its main plane is composed as a compact square composition.
The silver surface was formed by fusing metal, leaving it uneven and animated rather than perfectly smooth and geometric.
Turquoise, amber and vitreous enamel are integrated into the composition, with color acting as part of the overall picture rather than separately from the metal.
The contrast between the rigid square form, rough silver surface and colored inlays defines the character of the piece.
This is an archival prototype. A related custom piece can be made without attempting to copy the original composition exactly.
Commissioning a Similar Piece

The stones, enamel color, arrangement and proportions can be changed. An exact copy of the archival piece is not intended.
