Description
“Lines with Labradorite” is a silver ring whose upper surface is assembled from rectangular lines and strips. The metal was diamond-tool worked and patinated.
This treatment gives the metal a velvety quality. The surface appears dark and soft in the light while remaining distinctly graphic.
The polished labradorite is positioned off-center, giving the ring the character of a signet while keeping the composition freer and asymmetrical.
The rectangular labradorite acts as a point of light within the disciplined linear surface, completing rather than competing with the rhythm of the metal.
The piece has been sold, but it can serve as the basis for a related custom commission.
