Description
“Plate with Amber” is a large handcrafted sterling silver ring. Its upper section is formed as a broad circular plane, making the ring feel almost like a small metal object.
The piece uses polished amber. The setting was designed so the stone would not be heated during assembly and could remain in its natural state.
The emphasis is not miniature delicacy but the expanse of metal, a strong silhouette and the contrast of cool silver with warm amber.
The open shank allows the fit to be adjusted slightly. This version is size 18.
The form resembles a large plate, which gave the piece its name: the composition is built around a simple circular plane and a small group of amber elements.
Commissioning a Similar Piece
