Description
“Light Art Nouveau” is a sold handcrafted sterling silver ring set with rutilated quartz.
The form is elongated, soft and subtly botanical. It follows the line of the fingers and feels calmer than the heavier biomechanical or architectural works by NP Studio.
The silver surface is fire-worked without heavy darkening. No patina is used; the metal remains light and satin-finished.
Rutilated quartz is the main accent. The stone is integrated into the composition and reinforces its gentle Art Nouveau character: elongation, flowing lines and restrained ornament.
The overall proportion is essential. Additional elements would be unnecessary, so the form remains as unified as possible.
Recreating the Piece
A similar piece can preserve the essential character: an elongated form, gentle line, light satin surface and stone setting.
The most appropriate change is replacing the stone. The proportions can also be adjusted slightly without overcomplicating the construction.
