“Bio with Labradorite” is a sold handcrafted sterling silver ring set with labradorite.
The piece explores biomechanics and the artistic world of H. R. Giger. It is not a copy of a specific work, but a free movement toward organic structures, metal, tension and a living mechanical form.
The primary silver form is created first. It is born in fire and becomes the starting point for everything that follows.
Individual elements are then added: the labradorite setting, small structural details, ties, springs and tense lines.
The result cannot be fully calculated in advance. Silver behaves in its own way at the beginning, and the composition develops from the form that emerges.
This makes the ring closer to a small sculpture: its beginning is defined by fire and metal, then gradually continued by hand.
Recreating the Piece
An exact repeat is impossible. The initial form becomes the starting point, and each time it depends on how the silver behaves in the fire.
A new ring can be made in a related spirit: biomechanics, labradorite or another stone, ties, springs and a tense organic form.
Individual elements can be changed, but the final composition will be resolved during the making process. It will be a new sculpture inspired by this piece rather than a repetition of the finished object.
