Elongated Bio
A biomechanical sterling silver ring with labradorite. Its elongated form, fire-worked surface, ties and springs create the feeling of a living mechanism.
Description
“Elongated Bio” is a sold handcrafted sterling silver ring set with labradorite.
The piece explores biomechanics and bio-art with a reference to the artistic world of H. R. Giger. It is not a copy, but an original work shaped by organic forms, metal, tension and the feeling of a living construction.
The main surface is worked with fire, giving the silver an uneven texture with small protrusions and a living roughness.
Decorative structural elements—ties, springs and separate metal details—turn the ring from a conventional setting into a small biomechanical object.
Labradorite is integrated into the elongated composition as an inner center of light. The stone is not separate from the form, but part of the metal’s overall rhythm.
The ring resembles a small sculpture: elongated, tense and assembled from fire, stone and additional metal elements.
Recreating the Piece
A similar piece can preserve the same character: an elongated biomechanical form, labradorite or another stone, a fire-worked surface, ties and springs.
The size and proportions can be adjusted. The stone can also be changed and new decorative elements added.
An exact repeat is impossible because the form develops by hand and depends on how the silver behaves in fire. It will be a new piece inspired by the original rather than a copy.
