Description
“Elongated with Amethyst” is a prototype ring in sterling silver featuring two stones: amethyst and garnet.
The silver was treated with fire, giving it an irregular living texture, traces of heat and the feeling of a form assembled by hand rather than calculated to a strict scheme.
Intersecting lines act as both structural and decorative elements, connecting the upper section, reinforcing movement and creating tension around the stones.
The ring is not organised around one central stone. The stones form part of a broader construction defined by direction, surface, lines and silhouette.
The ring can only be recreated as a new piece inspired by it. Because every element is formed by hand, the placement, intersections and surface texture will differ.
The form offers a direction for further development: stones and proportions can change while retaining a similar character.
Recreating the Piece
A similar piece can preserve the overall direction: elongated form, fire-treated surface, stones and intersecting lines.
For a custom commission, the stones, proportions and placement of decorative elements can be changed.
