Ring with Coral
An archival sterling silver ring with a porous coral-like structure and an amethyst crystal. The piece feels like a small natural object that has been discovered.
Description
“Ring with Coral” is an archival NP Studio piece in silver with an amethyst crystal.
The ring’s character is defined by a porous silver structure resembling coral. It makes the metal feel not like a flat surface, but like a complex three-dimensional material.
The amethyst crystal is embedded in this structure and becomes part of the overall sculptural composition.
As a result, the ring resembles a small found object: at once natural and deliberately constructed.
This is an archival prototype. A new ring inspired by the form can be commissioned without attempting to copy the original exactly.
Recreating the Piece
A new piece inspired by “Ring with Coral” can preserve the porous silver structure and its combination with a crystal.
An exact copy of the archival piece is not intended: the coral-like structure and stone placement will be unique in every new ring.
The stone, size and proportions can be discussed individually when commissioning the piece.
